Hi there curvy fashionistas,

I have just got off the phone from a stressed out ‘curvy diva’. Apparently she has spent a whole day looking for jewellery, with no success. The main challenge she identified was finding necklaces and bracelets that look fabulous, but more importantly fit.

This is an issue for most of us lovely ladies. Here are a few tips to remember when shopping for necklaces, to make sure that your shopping adventure ends in tears of joy not disappointment J

Necklaces

Opera length necklaces, usually measure about 28 inches. Ample room for versatility as the length allows for doubling (creating multiple strands), knotting or just wearing at full length. As the picture of  Mena Suvari shows, necklaces can be combined with scarves also.

Lariat necklaces are one of my favourites. Like the Opera necklace they are long, but the ends are unattached. Giving you the flexibility to decide whether you link them, with a draping/tail affect, knot them, or leave both ends open, wrapping the chain around your neck elegantly.

Pendants and charms can be added to both of the above necklace types, to compliment any outfit. As shown in the picture of Keira Knightley. Ribbon necklaces, rope, pearl and drop necklaces are also great for us ‘curvy divas’ to make a statement.
